Sharon Simpson Scholar (2020)
Sasha attended Contra Costa College. After being awarded the Kennedy-King Scholarship in 2017 she attended U.C. Berkeley where she became a Regents’ Scholar. She will earn her B.A. in Ethnic Studies this spring, and has been accepted to the Boalt Hall School of Law at Cal. She hopes to earn a judicial clerkship, possibly work as a prosecutor and eventually become a judge.

Sasha returned to school at Contra Costa College after a multi-year hiatus despite great challenges and has thrived. She is a proud mother of a nine-year old son and desires to provide him a brighter future. She plans on completing degrees in Ethnic Studies and Sociology at a UC Berkeley or Stanford, after which she would like to go to Law School. Ultimately, Sasha wants to work for a non-profit and fight for social justice in her community.
